Art de Cure

Art de Cure and The Endocrine Group, LLP of Albany have teamed up to open the Art de Cure Gallery. The gallery, which encompasses over 225 linear feet of waiting room space at the Endocrine Group, showcases the original work of regional artists and benefits the American Diabetes Association.  “The gallery is a unique collaboration of art and medicine working for a cause,” said Susan Rivers, artist and co-founder of Art de Cure.  “Right now, it is one of a kind!”

Art de Cure curates the shows and changes the art work every few months.  This keeps the waiting room new and fresh to both patients and staff.  “The art has brought a wonderful life to the office and has made possible a significant contribution to help fight diabetes”, noted Dr. Jay Watsky, Endocrinologist at The Endocrine Group.   Since the Art de Cure Gallery ‘s inception in April, 2010, the gallery has showcased hundreds of regional artists and raised over $37,000 for the ADA.

With over fifteen hundred patients and guests a week visiting The Endocrine Group, the artists gain more exposure for their work than in a traditional gallery. “We currently have a waiting list of artists for the upcoming shows,” stated Sherle Sparkman, gallery manager.  Incorporated as 501c3, Art de Cure plans to establish additional collaborative galleries- for- a -cause in medical practices across the region.

Open to the public during office hours of The Endocrine Group,  LLP.
