Lori Benevento, RD CDE

Lori comes to The Endocrine Group after three and a half years as a Diabetes Educator with the Diabetes Education Program at Berkshire Health Systems, in Pittsfield, MA.  She previously worked as a Dietitian/Diabetes Educator in the Capital District area for 3 years with the Diabetes Nutrition Center of Community Care Physicians, in Latham, NY.  Lori has been a Dietitian for over 20 years and along with Diabetes Education, other areas of specialty and focus include:

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and completed training with the pre-professional practice program at Russell Sage College.  She is a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators and the local Northeastern NY Diabetes Educators chapter. Lori enjoys helping patients understand their disease and most importantly helping them to facilitate their Diabetes self-management skills.  Hobbies include jogging, biking and tennis.  She proudly rides to cure diabetes as a member of The Endocrine Group Tour De Cure Team.
